Forever Home - Rebecca Judd
A Spanish Colonial house in Melbourne is now the “forever home” of Bec Judd, her husband Chris Judd, and their four children. For the renovation, Melbourne design studio Biasol created a concept that drew inspiration from the European roots of the existing building and infused modern charm so that the family could quickly feel at home in their new oasis.
The use of our timeless Scala collection in the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry helps pull that connection of materiality and detail between each space. Th Brushed Brass finish also acts as a golden accent in the monochromatic backdrops.
The richness of our brass was also used in the custom pull handles that were designed to work across all the joinery, closets, and storage areas. Outside, to fit with the greys and blacks of the outdoor kitchen’s barbecue and wood-fire oven, Biasol chose the Scala Hob Sink Set in Brushed Black.

A large part of the renovation came from Biasol understanding the daily needs of the busy family. Many spaces needed to be flexible and functional so that they could use it privately but also have the option to easily prepare the house for company.
The bar area is connected with the indoor kitchen and outdoor area, perfectly placed for entertaining after a delicious home-cooked dinner or a fun afternoon poolside
