At a height of 319 metres, Australia 108 is the second tallest building in Australia (as of May 2022). One hundred floors contain 1,105 apartments whose residents can enjoy gyms, pools, spas, theatres, and VIP areas.

Designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects in 2014 and completed in 2020, this Southbank wonder is punctuated by the “Starburst,” a golden physical expression of the Commonwealth Star found on Australia’s flag.

This one-of-a-kind project needed fixtures from a company with problem-solving heritage that could match its high-end style and emphasise the Australian pride that the building was founded on. By choosing our Australian-made products, the designers were able to customise and streamline their fitting for the powder room and main bathroom in the units on the top 60 floors.

Our Scala Hob Mixer’s under hob connection was adjusted to better link to the sink mixer, improving on installation time. We also created a unique indoor plumbing fitting solution from scratch in two weeks to work with a custom floor mount Bath Mixer. Sussex ended up creating over 200 customised products, taking almost two years for the whole project.
