The Tighe Dairy
In an old dairy bottling plant, turned historic home, is the house of artist Martin Tighe and wife Jennifer. The Melbourne home has been with the family since Martin’s grandparents. So for its kitchen renovation, the couple turned to Cantilever Interior to use their K3 Kitchen System to update the space without making modifications to the external structure.
Their need was simple: to reconfigure the kitchen so that it could meet the needs of who they are now, an older couple embracing the next stage in their lives.
The renovation provided a kitchen that would be ergonomic and flow with their current lifestyle. The fittings and fixtures in the space had to meet the spatial needs as well as compliment the new, clean styling. Our Voda tap in Stainless Steel finish beautifully integrates with the stainless steel worktop that wraps around the corner of the room.
Its minimalist curvature also accents the milky white hues of the splashback that beautifully line the main wall. Along with the original concrete floor refinishing and the terrazzo update to the kitchen island’s benchtop, the updated kitchen is ready to be a place for family and food for the next generation to come.
