The Design Files - Open House 2017

Bringing together a curated selection of Australian designers, artists and creators, The Design Files Open House 2017 was a beautiful contemporary warehouse transformation.

We were thrilled to have our Brushed Nickel Voda mixers featured with many thanks to Cantilever Interiors emphasis on Australian-made, hand crafted pieces.

In the open kitchen space, Cantilever Interior’s K2 Kitchen is seen, combining both two-pack and veneer alongside a stunning cool-toned Terrazzo bench-top by Signorino to complement the custom colour palette that had been arranged by Lucy Feagins (founder of The Design Files)t for the event.
Whilst customisation is at the forefront of our minds here at Sussex, it was exciting to see Cantilever’s array of two-pack availabilities being put to creative genuinity in this space, using Dulux’s ‘Friends’ pink for overhead cabinetry. Another great feature was Miele’s new Artline Series, featuring sleek handle-less appliances.

Venturing around the design-lovers wonderland, filled with handmade ceramics by Anchor Ceramics and Amy Leeworthy, artworks by Stephen Baker, Hannah Nowlan, Bobby Clark and Belynda Henry and incredible wall pieces by Abby Seymour and Tammy Kanat, it was evident this was a carefully-considered project, aiming to unite the wonderful creations of our local creators.

We are proud to be local manufacturers and were so humbled to be included in such an incredible celebration of industry, community and Australian design.
